Iran cinema faces growth in viewership, sales

Iran cinema has witnessed significant growth in viewership and sales compared to the previous year.

Cinemas in Iran have witnessed 41 percent increase in viewership and 51 percent increase in box office revenue during April/ March 2018.

According to a report released by the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs, 4 million and 689 thousand viewers have gone to cinemas during April/ March 2018 which indicates 41.8 percent growth in viewership when compared to the previous year.

Box office revenue in Iran has also risen to 455,843,100,000 Rials in 2018 which shows 51.5 percent gross increase.
